Q: Do I need to own land before talking and planning with a Newrock Homes Consultant?

Absolutely not! We can assist you in finding the lot or acreage that best meets your needs. To start off check out our Available Home Sites page for our current inventory.  We can also email a list of available properties to you, or you can stop by our office.

Q: Where do you build?

Home Plans and Options

Q: I see you have over 40 home plans available. Can I make changes to any of these or bring in my own plan?

We understand that each family has different needs and priorities for the space in their home. You’re welcome to ask for changes to any of our stock plans, or bring in your own design. We employ a full-time home designer who can make adjustments to our plans, or draw up a complete design from scratch.

Q: Can I add upgrade anything or add options to the standard features in my home?

Absolutely! Newrock homes come with a competitive level of standard features that allow us to keep the base price low, but you’re welcome to personalize your home with a myriad of upgrades and options. We can provide you with a price list of these upgrades and options at your request.

Q: Can a daylight basement be added to any house?

Yes, most plans can be modified to add a daylight basement, provided your lot is sloped properly.

Q: Does Newrock Homes provide written estimates?

Lots of builders give a “rough estimate” for the cost of a new home. At Newrock Homes we can give you a written bid including available changes, options and upgrade prices within a couple of days.

Finance

Q: Does Newrock Homes provide financing?

We work with the best mortgage professionals in the business who can provide you with a mortgage/construction loan for your project. Of course, you can use your own bank or mortgage company, but our mortgage professionals have been chosen based on their ability to provide our clients with great service at the best possible rates.

Q: Is a deposit required to get started?

A minimal deposit is normally required to build a home. Simply ask a Newrock Homes consultant for the details to get started.

Q: Do I need a down payment?

After a home is completed, our clients will often have “built-in equity” of up to $40,000. And, because our homes consistently appraise higher than the cost to build, you may qualify for zero down financing.

Construction Process

Q: Are your homes custom built?

Yes, Newrock Homes is a full service general contractor. We build your home on site, board by board, using skilled craftsmen paying relentless attention to detail.

Q: How long will it take to build my new home?

The whole process from excavation to delivering you the keys typically takes four to nine months, depending on jurisdiction, size of home, options, etc.

Warranty

Q: Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! We stand behind the work we do with a full one-year builder warranty. And at no cost to you, we provide an extra warranty from Residential Warranty Company (RWC) that covers your home up to six years. Click here for details.
