Owners/CEO's

For more than two decades, Eric and Joanne have built Newrock Homes around a simple belief: great homes start with great people. Together, they have grown Newrock from a family business into an experienced custom home builder rooted in craftsmanship, relationships, and a genuine commitment to the families they build for.

That same family-first philosophy extends to the Newrock team. Eric and Joanne have created a company culture where experience is valued, people take pride in their work, and everyone shares responsibility for delivering a home our clients can be proud of.

For them, Newrock has never been about simply building houses. It’s about building lasting relationships, creating homes designed around the people who will live in them, and continuing a legacy their family is proud to carry forward.

Matthew Patterson

Construction Consultant

 Mattp@newrockhomes.com
 360.703.1441

Matthew is often one of the first people you’ll work with when turning the idea of a custom home into a real project. As Newrock’s Construction Consultant, he helps clients navigate everything from initial site visits and budgeting to selections, proposals, and contracts.

Building a custom home comes with a lot of decisions, and Matt has a talent for making the process feel approachable. His focus is helping clients understand their options, establish realistic expectations, and make informed decisions that balance their vision, priorities, and budget.

And while he takes building seriously, he doesn’t believe the process has to feel serious all the time. There’s a good chance you’ll leave a meeting with a clearer path forward—and probably a podcast recommendation or a good laugh, too.

Ashleymae Miller

Residential Designer & Permitting Specialist

 Ashleymae@newrockhomes.com
 360.423.5151 (office)

Ashleymae—better known around the office as “Amay”—is Newrock’s Residential Designer and Permitting Specialist. She works closely with clients to transform ideas, inspiration, and everyday needs into homes that are both beautiful and thoughtfully designed around the way they actually live.

For Ashleymae, great residential design goes far beyond square footage and room counts. She considers how spaces connect, how a home feels when you arrive, where everyday life happens, and how thoughtful details can make a home function effortlessly for years to come.

Once the design is complete, she guides the project through the permitting process, coordinating plans, requirements, and the technical details needed to move the home from the drawing board toward construction.

When she’s away from the office, Ashleymae’s favorite role is simply being Mom. She loves spending time with her husband and son, tackling projects around their home, and enjoying the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.

Noah Underwood

Project Manager

 Noah@newrockhomes.com
 360.355.7166

Noah is the Project Manager behind every Newrock home, overseeing each project from the start of construction through the finishing touches. With a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach, he coordinates our jobsites, trade partners, schedules, and the countless moving pieces that turn a set of plans into a finished home.

More importantly, Noah understands that he isn’t just managing a construction project—he’s helping build someone’s home. He takes that responsibility seriously, keeping quality, communication, and the homeowner’s vision at the forefront throughout the build.

When he’s not keeping Newrock projects moving, you’ll likely find him with the music turned up and headed somewhere off-road.

Joe Ottosen

Jobsite Integrity

Joe is responsible for Jobsite Integrity, helping keep Newrock projects clean, organized, safe, and ready for the next stage of construction. From maintaining jobsites and coordinating dumpsters to tackling the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep construction moving, Joe is the guy making sure things are taken care of.

A well-run project is about more than what you see in the finished home. It starts with taking pride in the jobsite throughout the entire build, and Joe brings that mindset to every Newrock project—regardless of what the Pacific Northwest weather decides to throw at him.

When he’s finally off the jobsite, you’ll probably find him near the water. River, lake, or beach—as long as there are fish involved, Joe’s happy.

Jeff Foreman

Field Support Specialist

Jeff is Newrock’s Field Support Specialist and, around here, better known as our “Mister Do-It-All.” Whether it’s tackling a repair, solving an unexpected problem, helping out on a jobsite, or taking care of one of the countless odds and ends that come with building homes, Jeff is always quick to jump in and lend a hand.

Versatile, dependable, and willing to tackle just about anything, Jeff has a knack for figuring things out and getting the job done. His can-do attitude makes him an invaluable part of the Newrock team—and when someone says, “We need a hand with something,” there’s a good chance Jeff is already on his way.

When he’s not lending a hand at Newrock, Jeff enjoys slowing things down and spending his free time fishing.
